Demographic Research Centre  is a specialized demographic research workplace established on 1 January 2000. It operates within the Institute of Informatics and Statistics in Bratislava.

The activity of Demographic Research Centre is focused mainly on the following areas:

• Analytical and forecast activity
  Assessment of demographic indicators and their main components.
  Population estimates and forecasts.
  Elaboration of analytical and forecast background for the top decision makers in the field of economy, social and housing policy, employment, health and education.
  
  

• Methodology
  Preparation of methods, models and tools for demographic analyses, estimates and forecasts.
  Development of methodology in the field of demography.
  
  

• Co-ordination of the demographic research in the Slovak Republic
