DEMOGRAPHIC DATA FROM POPULATION AND HOUSING CENSUSES IN SLOVAKIAThe web presentation "DEMOGRAPHIC DATA FROM POPULATION AND HOUSING CENSUSES IN SLOVAKIA" contains selected demographic and socio-economic data from censuses conducted in Slovakia.
The presentation is a part of the project “Building and operation of information sources of demographic and statistic data for the support of the R&D at the university and other research institutions”. The web presentation contains:
- Selected censuses results grouped by individual topic (age, nationality, religion, dwelling facilities, etc.) and by different territorial units (Slovakia, groups of regions, regions, districts, municipalities).
- General information concerning the censuses problematic (legislation, census scope, historical context, questionnaires, maps of administrative division, etc....)
- time series of selected indicators
The project, whose part is this presentation, was financed by the Ministry
of Education of the Slovak Republic. The project had been realised in
cooperation of the Department of Human Geography and Demogeography of
the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University and INFOSTAT. The source
of data is the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic.
